St. Louis – The Maryville women's volleyball team hosted undefeated Quincy in Great Lakes Valley Conference action Friday night and took set one before the Hawks rallied for a 3-1 victory. Quincy won 19-25, 25-20, 25-17, 27-25.
Caroline Glastetter finished with a team-high 16 kills and hit .433, while
Taylor Keck chipped in 12 kills and recorded a .333 hitting percentage.
Abbie Schnell finished with a double-double on 22 assists and led the squad in digs with 17.

Quincy recap                               Â
The Saints were clinging to a 9-6 lead before embarking on a 5-0 burst for a 14-6 margin. The Hawks chipped away but never got closer than four points as the Saints took the opener. Quincy hit .313 to draw level. The score was tied at 20-20 but the Hawks scored the final five points of the set. The Hawks carried over their momentum and took set three.

The fourth set saw the Saints trailing 15-9 but crept back into the contest. Facing two match points, QU had an error and a kill by
Caroline Glastetter tied the set at 24-24. The Saints committed a miscue but
Grace Knadler's kill tied the set again at 25-all. However, the Hawks tallied two straight to close out the match.
