Indianapolis – Facing the No. 24 team in the nation, the Maryville men's basketball Saints were down just two at intermission at Indianapolis before the Greyhounds pulled away in the second half for a 79-53 win.
Dewayne Vass led the Saints with 14 points and six rebounds, while
Harrison Vickers added 12 points.
Jaeden Smith provided a lift off the bench with nine points on three 3-pointers.

The Saints were down 31-22 in the final minutes of the first half but closed the opening 20 minutes with a rush.
Harrison Vickers knocked down consecutive 3-pointers, and
Dewayne Vass scored inside. After a stop, Vickers found the range from in close to push the Saints ahead 32-31. UIndy scored the last three points of the half to take a narrow 34-32 lead at intermission.

The Greyhounds opened the second half by scoring the first nine points to stretch their edge to double digits. Vass broke the drought with a three-point play that brought the Saints to within 43-35. UIndy tacked on another 9-0 run that stretched its advantage to 17.
Jaeden Smith drained a triple to make it 52-38 with 12 minutes remaining. The Saints were unable to trim the deficit to single digits as the Greyhounds won their ninth straight game.
