St. Louis – All five starters scored in double figures as the Maryville women's basketball team flew past Lewis 78-68.
Taylor Kirby led the way with 19 points and eight rebounds, while
Antoinette Mussorici finished with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Carsyn Fearday had 13 points, and
Hunter Stidham and
Haidyn Pitsch added 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Saints took charge with a huge 21-0 run in the third quarter.

Lewis recap
Trailing 42-40 early in the third, the Saints ripped off a 21-0 spree, their longest scoring run of the season. Maryville sank seven of eight shots while its defense forced Lewis to miss eight straight shots. Kirby sank back-to-back buckets, and Fearday made a layup. Mussorici scored five straight points, before Pitsch nailed a jumper and a 3-pointer. After two at the line by Fearday, Stidham's triple put the Saints ahead 61-42 with 2:13 left in the quarter. Maryville took a 64-46 lead into the fourth quarter by shooting 69.2 percent (9-of-13) in the quarter.

Maddy Meehan had a score in the lane for a 65-46 cushion before the Flyers made their run. Stidham stopped the 9-0 run with a trey and a 68-55 edge with five minutes to play. Lewis closed to single digits but Pitsch and Mussorici sank four straight free throws to close out the victory.
