INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville men's soccer worked a 0-0 road tie with eighth-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon. The Saints put five shots on goal against the Greyhounds while
Simon Madsen made a save on the only opportunity allowed by his defense. Â

Run of Play:
- After a relatively uneventful first 10 minutes of the game, Mason Crew put the first shot on goal in the 12th minute. Yayo Mutombo followed up in the 14th minute with a shot that got blocked by the UIndy defense.
- Sophomore Maryville goalkeeper Simon Madsen made his first save of the afternoon at 23:01 on Niklas Thanhofer's attempt.
- Crew followed up on the counterattack with a shot to the low left side of the goal but was turned aside by UIndy keeper Kieran Brown.
- Luca Bartoni and Leyson Losada both forced Kieran to make saves in the final two minutes of the first half, putting Maryville up 4-1 in shots on goal at halftime.
- Owen Atkison and Roman Beko both missed wide left on shot attempts for UIndy in the 49th minute.
- Bryce Glisson attempted the Saints' only shot on goal of the second half and was denied by Brown in the 82nd minute.
- Kabiru Gafar had a good look in the 88th minute, but the Maryville defense blocked his shot.
- The game ended in a 0-0 draw, with the Saints putting four more shots on target despite being outshot overall 13-8.

- Sophomore goalkeeper Simon Madsen picked up the first shutout of his career in his first start at Maryville.
- The Saints are 2-0-3 in their last five games against UIndy.
