Calista Crocker tallied her fifth goal of the season but the Maryville field hockey squad was edged 3-1 at Coker University.

The Saints earned the first penalty corner of the game but could not produce a shot off the chance. Goalie
Liz Bierhals kept the contest scoreless with five straight saves. However, the Cobras followed up a rebound chance for the first score of the game. Maryville picked up the offensive attack with four early shots in the second quarter. The tilt remained 1-0 until halftime.

Coker doubled its edge early in the third quarter before the Saints pulled one score back. Crocker collected a pass from
Alison Tom and fired in a goal to draw Maryville back to within 2-1. The Saints nearly tied the game early in the fourth but had two shots saved. The Cobras scored two minutes later to seal the victory.

The Saints see their record slip to 4-6. Maryville plays its final game of the season Sunday at Wingate to close the campaign.
