St. Louis - The Maryville men's lacrosse team used a big second half to storm past Walsh 17-6. The Saints outscored the Cavaliers 9-1 after halftime.
Clayton Cerett fired in six goals and had an assist to lead the offensive outburst.
Ethan Olson had two goals and two assists.
Shea Raeburn went 13-of-14 at the faceoff dot as the Saints won 22-of-26 faceoffs.

The Saints scored just six seconds into the game, just one tick over the Division II record of fastest goal to start a game. Raeburn won the opening faceoff, fed Cerett who fired in a goal for a 1-0 lead at the 14:54 mark.
Colin Tobias doubled the Maryville lead with a score four minutes in. The teams traded goals as the Saints led 4-3 after 15 minutes. Up 5-4, the Saints scored two straight on goals by
Matt Martyn and
Ben Foster. Olson tallied late in the second quarter as Maryville went up 8-5 at the break.

Foster tallied a goal just a minute into the third, and
Connor Kvaal followed. Cerett blasted home another goal as the Saints surged to an 11-5 advantage. Walsh scored at the 3:43 mark of the quarter but that would prove to be its only goal after halftime. Cerett and
Reid Usrey closed the third with goals for a 13-6 cushion. Maryville put the game away with four goals in the fourth and shutting out Walsh in the final 15 minutes.
