Ohio Dominican Recap
Freshman Mandi Lenon continued a strong start to her collegiate career with an RBI single through the left side of the infield to give the Saints a 1-0 lead in the fourth. Ohio Dominican struck back in the bottom half with one before Corona came up in the fifth inning and drove in Taylor Shingler and Brooklyn Moore.

In the bottom of the fifth, ODU picked up five runs and piled on in the sixth with four more to move into a commanding 10-3 lead heading into the final frame.

Shingler singled to lead off the top of the seventh and stole second base. Taylor Duff then walked and Corona powered them both home with a triple to left center. Melanie Nelson brought the run in from third with a bunt single and came around to score on Erin Sammelmann's double.

Now within striking distance at 10-7, Carly Nolde drove home a run after Lenon was hit by a pitch. A few batters later, Duff worked a bases-loaded walk to bring up Corona who already had four RBI. The sophomore from Homewood, Ill., blasted another triple to clear the bases and push the Saints ahead at 12-10.

Nelson followed with another RBI single and came around to score after singles from Sammelmann and Lenon. An error allowed Sammelmann to score later in the inning to extend the lead to 15-10.
