Huntsville, Ala. – The Maryville men's lacrosse team was edged 14-13 in overtime by Alabama Huntsville on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Reid Usrey topped the Saints with three goals and an assist for four points, while
Ethan Olson also notched a hat trick to boost the offense.

The Chargers grabbed an early 2-1 lead before the Saints roared back with four straight goals.
Justin Simonson sparked the run, with Usrey and Olson following.
Connor Kvaal's score at the 4:21 mark pushed the Saints ahead 5-2. UAH retook the lead at 6-5 before
Joel Lucas and Usrey tallied back-to-back man-up goals. The first half ended in a 7-7 tie.

Ben Foster gave the Saints an 8-7 lead just 32 seconds after intermission but the hosts edged ahead by scoring four of the next five goals.
Clayton Cerett scored to make it 11-10 before UAH took a 12-10 cushion. Kvaal pulled one back, and Foster scored with 2:45 remaining to forge a 12-12 tie. The Saints earned a penalty, and Usrey cashed in the chance for a 13-12 lead with just 27 seconds to play.

However, the Chargers tied the game with just nine ticks remaining to force overtime. UAH won the draw to begin the extra session but the Saints forced a turnover. Maryville committed a miscue, and UAH won it at the 1:53 mark.
