Fauser Tops Saints While Hsu Fires Round of 66 as Saints Take Third at SVSU Invitational

Lexington, Ky. - Austin Fauser tied for fourth place, and Max Hsu had the second lowest round in program history with a 66 to grab a share of sixth place as the Maryville men's golfers took third at the SVSU Spring Invitational. The Saints posted rounds of 303-287=590 and were just four shots out of second place. Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., hosted the tournament with the par 72 course playing at 7,023.
 
Fauser posted his second straight round at par and carded 72-72=144 to finish two shots out of medalist honors. Hsu, who had a hole-in-one in round one, fired in seven birdies during his sparkling six-under par round of 66. He recorded the best score of the tournament by three strokes and was just one shot behind Fauser at 145.
 
Drew Barclay chopped five shots off his round one and came home at 74 to finish with a total of 153. Brad Karpick matched at 153 with a second round of 75, while Michael Wu closed his tournament at 153.
 
Davenport took home the team championship at 583, and Alex Bishop of Purdue Northwest earned medalist honors at 142.
