Saints Push Win Streak to 10 with 18-5 Domination at Davenport

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Scoring nine of the first 10 goals, the Maryville women's lacrosse team's winning streak reached double digits with an 18-5 triumph at Davenport. The Saints build on their school record winning streak, which stands at 10 games. Sydney Tiemann accounted for a program-record nine points on six goals and three assists, while Helen Bae scored five times. In the nets, Jo Miles set a season high with 13 saves.

Skyler Jolie put the Saints ahead just 49 ticks into the game, and Sydney Tiemann potted a free-shot attempt to double the margin. Davenport scored to cut the lead to 2-1 but the Sains reeled off seven straight scores. Reagan Rukstad answered, and Lexi Taylor found the back of the net. Jessie Hynes and Helen Bae became the fifth and sixth different goal scorers as the Saints took a 6-1 margin into the second quarter. Bae and Rukstad tallied 38 seconds apart, and Jolie's second of the game made it 9-1 midway through the second. Davenport scored twice before Tiemann tallied to make it 10-3 at halftime.
 
Davenport opened the third quarter with a goal but the Saints reeled off five straight to seize control of the contest. Bae scored to start the run, and Tiemann followed as the duo completed their hat tricks. After Hynes fired in a goal, Tiemann and Bae both tallied their fourth goals of the game as the Saints took a double-digit lead.
