St. Joseph, Mo. – It was another record-setting day for No. 14 Maryville in a 25-15 victory at Missouri Western in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest.
Sydney Tiemann broke program records with 11 goals and 12 total points as the Saints total set a school record for goals in a game. She also reached the 100-point mark on the season during the tilt.
Jessie Hynes fired in four goals, while
Reagan Rukstad recorded a hat trick to help fuel the offense.

Missouri Western recap
Missouri Western scored the opening goal of the game before Tiemann's goal sparked a 4-0 run. After Hynes put the Saints on top, Rukstad tallied two straight for a 4-1 lead. The Griffins pulled one score back but Maryville reeled off four more consecutive goals.
Helen Bae began the run before Rukstad scored to make it 6-2.

The Saints dominated with a record-tying 10 goals in the second quarter. Tiemann and Hynes scored to push the edge up to 8-2. MWSU got to within 10-6 before Bae, Tiemann and
Lexi Taylor found the back of the net for a 13-6 edge. The Saints settled for a 16-8 advantage at the break.

Maryville tallied four of five goals midway through the third and built a double-digit cushion. The Griffins scored three straight but the Saints answered with their own 3-0 run and cruised to another double-digit victory. The 25 goals scored are the most in program history
