Louck Sets Program Record for Wins, Saints Take Down Cardinals 18-4

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Ryan Louck set the program mark for wins with 19 after an 18-4 rout of William Jewell College on Sunday. Maryville clubbed five home runs to back 5.2 innings from Louck on the mound.

Maryville starter Ryan Louck set down six of the first seven hitters he faced, and Jacob Hager gave him a lead in the bottom of the second with a solo home run. Maryville scored two more in the inning on an error from the first baseman.
 
Elias Stevens hammered a two-run home run to left-center in the third and hit a three-run home run in the fourth as a part of a six-run frame. Stephen Randazzo continued to pile on in the fifth, putting a ball up into the wind and over the right field fence for a three-run home run.
 
Jewell got two back in the top of the sixth, but a Michael Gould three-run home run in the bottom put Maryville up 18-2. Braden Barnard and Nathan Beaton teamed up for the final four outs of the game to clinch the series split with the Cardinals.
 
Louck went 5.2 innings on the mound with five strikeouts and two earned to pick up the 19th win of his career and fifth of the season. He surpasses David Meers (1988-91) for the most in program history.
