Jenna Clark is tied for second place overall as the Maryville women's golf team is seventh out of 16 teams at the Drury Lady Panther Invitational. Clark fired an opening round 76 and is just two shots behind the overall leader. The Saints shot a team score of 320 in the first round at Silo Ridge Golf Club in Bolivar, Mo.
Clark recorded birdies on the par fives on holes No. 3 and No. 18 to top Maryville.
Ivy Lai and
Maddie Vanderheyden both shot 81 on the day.
Effie Perakis was one shot back at 82, while
Maggie King came home with an 88.
Missouri Southern tops the team standings at 308, and MSSU's Katarina Chynoranska leads all players at 74. The teams finish up with 18 holes of play beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
