Bolivar, Mo. – A decisive 25-3 run sparked the Maryville women's basketball team to an emphatic 79-58 victory at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo., Saturday.
Carsyn Fearday and
Antoinette Mussorici both finished with 14 points, while
Karlee Feldman had her fourth straight double-double as she added 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Haidyn Pitsch went a perfect 10-for-10 at the free-throw line and finished with 13 points. The Saints had 17 steals and forced SBU into 29 turnovers on the day.

The Saints were down 15-12 early in the second quarter before reeling off 14 straight points to jump in front. Feldman's layup started the burst, and Fearday tacked on a three-point play. Feldman sandwiched layups around a Mussorici 3-pointer. Mussorici had a free throw that put the Saints ahead 25-15. Maryville forced four turnovers and did not allow the Bearcats a point for three minutes.

SBU scored on a free throw but the Saints continued on with an 11-2 run to stretch out to a 37-18 lead.
Madyson Rigdon converted a layup, and her 3-pointer gave the Saints a 42-20 lead going into halftime. The Saints outscored the Bearcats 30-7 in the quarter to take control.

Mussorici opened the second half with two free throws as Maryville built its largest lead of the day at 44-20. The Bearcats made a small run and closed the gap down to 15 to start the final quarter. The Saints were still leading 59-45 before
Maddy Meehan made a jumper, and Fearday tacked on two free throws. A Feldman layup pushed the margin to 65-46.
Haidyn Pitsch sank four straight free throws as the Saints went back up by 72-50 and cruised to the road victory.
