Warrensburg, Mo. - For the second time this season, the Maryville wrestling team took down a ranked team as the Saints beat No. 19 Central Missouri 22-15 Sunday in Warrensburg, Mo.
 
The Mules took the bout at 125 before Evan Binder took his match via a walkover at 133. Kody Ketchum rolled to a 15-3 major to keep the Saints on top. UCM won decisions at 141 and 149 but Cole Ritter responded at 165 with a 5-2 win.
 
Brian Thorpe claimed a 6-3 win at 174. The Mules won the clash at 184 but Jeremiah Larson recorded a crucial 7-1 victory at 197 to keep the Saints in front. Heading to the final match at heavyweight, Ryan Herman recorded an early takedown and cruised to an 8-2 decision that closed out the victory.
 
The Saints face yet another ranked team as they travel to No. 12 Upper Iowa Friday, Jan. 26, for a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
