NORMANDY, MO. –
Keyyaun Batchman nearly notched a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds but the Maryville men's basketball team lost at Missouri-St. Louis 83-53 Monday night.
Andre Klaver led the Saints with 14 points and the Saints committed just six turnovers in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Keyyaun Batchman and
Luke Williams converted buckets in the early going as the Saints were tied at 4-4. The Tritons went on an 8-0 run to jump to a 12-4 advantage.
Luke Williams and
Andre Klaver both converted layups as the Saints pulled to within 12-8. The Tritons scored eight of the next 10 points as UMSL built a double-digit lead. Klaver sank two free throws as the Saints cut the gap to single figures as 23-14. However, UMSL went on a 12-1 run and started to pull away.
Trey Redd had a driving layup, and three straight points by Williams to close the half edged the Saints to within 41-22.

The Saints looked to mount a comeback coming out of intermission but the Tritons opened the second half with a 13-2 run to assume control. Klaver had a three-point sequence, and
Henry Meyer scored on a layup. The Saints were unable to trim the gap below 20 as the Tritons closed out the win.
