St. Louis – Maryville men's basketball saw Missouri S&T shoot 60.6 percent in the first half to down the Saints 82-65 Saturday afternoon.
Luke Williams led the Saints with 15 points, while
Trey Redd hit 6-of-9 shots and finished with 13 points.

The Saints found themselves chasing the game as the Miners were red-hot and scored nine of the first 11 points.
Ari Jackson made a layup, and the Saints stayed close after free throws from Williams and an
Anthony Holden bucket. Later, a
JT Morgan bucket made it 20-12 midway through the first half. The Miners went on a 13-2 run and pushed their edge to more than 20 points. Maryville answered with a 9-3 run and closed to within 44-29. However, the Miners closed the half on a 7-2 run to go back up by 20.

The Saints used an early 7-2 run in the second half to chop into the Miner lead. Morgan had a layupm and
Tutu Chisholm scored five straight as Maryville closed to 54-38. Missouri S&T answered with seven straight. Williams scored on a layup but the Miners tallied another seven unanswered and pulled away.
