St. Louis – The Maryville University men's volleyball team set a program record for longest winning streak with its sixth consecutive victory during a 25-19, 25-16, 25-21 sweep over Roosevelt.
Luke Kraft hit had his second straight match with 13 kills.
Makai Scott hammered down nine kills and a team-high 15 digs, while
Jacob Fischer hit .700 with seven kills. The Saints hit .365 as a team in the contest to surge to the win.

The Saints were down 6-5 but surged ahead with five straight points. Kraft had a kill and an ace, followed by two Lakers errors and a kill by
David Fleischer for a 10-6 lead. Maryville was still up 11-9 but took control with another 5-0 run. The Lakers made a late push but Fleischer's kill ended the set at 25-19.

Set two saw the Saints up 5-3 before tallying four straight. After two Roosevelt errors, Kraft drilled in two aces for a 9-3 margin. Maryville went on a 4-1 spree and went up 15-8 after a Scott termination. Roosevelt never got closer than seven the rest of the way as a Scott kill handed the Saints a 25-16 win.

The Lakers led early in set three until Maryville used a 6-1 run to jump in front. A Roosevelt error handed the Saints a 9-6 edge. Maryville went up 12-7 on a
Cameron Lee kill but the Lakers closed the gap down to 13-12. Still up 16-15, the teams traded 3-0 runs. Holding a 19-18 edge, Fleischer had two kills and Lee had another for a 22-18 margin. A kill by Kraft and an ace by Fleischer gave the Saints three match points. Lee finished off the match with a kill for a 25-21 decision.
