Sydney Tiemann and
Helen Bae both tallied nine points apiece as the No. 6 Maryville women's lacrosse team began Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a 22-6 victory at McKendree. Tiemann had seven goals and two assists to go over 200 points for her Maryville career. Bae fired in six goals and handed out three assists.
Jessie Hynes scored twice, distributed a team-high four assists and also surpassed the 200-point milestone for her career.

Hynes put the Saints on top in the first minute, and
Natalie Tomljenovic scored to make it 2-0. The teams traded goals to 3-2 before the Saints exploded for seven straight scores. Hynes scored her second before Bae closed the first quarter with back-to-back goals for a 6-2 lead.

Tiemann took over with three goals around tallies by Bae and
Julia Banfield for an 11-2 lead. The Saints finished the second quarter with four straight goals. Scores by Bae and Elliott pushed the margin to double digits, and the Saints eventually took a 15-3 lead into halftime. Tiemann scored two more times in the third, and Bae closed the quarter with a goal for an 18-5 lead.
