Crestview Hills, Ky. – In the semifinals of the IVA Tournament, the Maryville University men's volleyball team dropped another five-set match against tourney host Thomas More. TMU defeated Maryville 25-18, 18-25, 22-25, 25-20, 18-16.
Makai Scott hammered down 17 kills, while
Luke Kraft finished with 15, and
Cameron Lee chipped in 10.
Cameron Chambers handed out 41 assists and tied his career high with six blocks.
Zac Clark had 19 digs, the second most in program history.

In the deciding fifth set, the score was tied 1-1 before
AJ Robateau put down a kill to give Maryville the lead. Kraft and Scott followed with terminations for a 3-1 advantage. Thomas More scored one but Robateau and Chambers combined on a block. Scott had another kill for a 6-2 margin. TMU pulled one back but Scott finished a pass, and a combo block by Chambers and
Jacob Fischer made it 8-3 for Maryville.

The hosts answered with four-in-a-row to cut the deficit to 8-7. Fisher steadied the Saints with a kill, and Scott followed for a three-point edge. Maryville's margin ballooned to 12-8 before TMU tallied three straight to draw back to one point.
Cameron Lee's finish stopped the TMU run for a 13-11 edge. However, TMU rallied to tie the set at 13-13. Robateau's kill gave Maryville match point. The teams traded scores, and Maryville earned another match point at 16-15 on another Scott kill. However, Thomas More scored three straight and snuck out with an 18-16 victory.
