Tiemann Tallies School-Record Thirteen Points on Milestone Day as Saints Fly Past Lewis 22-6

St. Louis – It was a milestone day for Sydney Tiemann as she scored the 300th goal of her collegiate career as well as her 200th for Maryville in women's lacrosse team's 22-6 victory over Lewis. She finished with nine goals and four assists for a school-record 13 points.

The Saints jumped on top quickly by scoring the game's first five goals. Helen Bae ignited the burst with a score just over a minute into the game, and Natalie Tomljenovic tallied 26 seconds later. Tiemann fired in her first of the day after 41 more ticks on the clock. Tiemann notched a player-up score, and Chloe Elliott rocketed in a goal for a 5-0 lead. Lewis scored its first before the teams traded goals at 6-2 after the first.
 
Tiemann opened the second with two goals inside the first minute. Jessie Hynes and Elliott potted scores as the Saints reached double digits in goals. Tomljenovic and Tiemann tacked on goals before the Flyers tallied just before halftime.
 
The Saints put the game away in the third quarter with three straight after intermission. Tomljenovic completed her hat trick before Tiemann and Bae pushed the advantage to more than double digits. Maryville cruised in the final quarter to run its winning streak to 15 games. Tomljenovic and Bae finished with four goals apiece, while Elliott also recorded a hat trick. Gianna Guzek forced Lewis to miss four free-position shots and finished with seven saves on the day.
