Chloe Elliott set a season high with five goals as the No. 6 Maryville women's lacrosse team downed Quincy 16-10.
Jessie Hynes tallied a team-high seven points on three goals and four assists, while
Sydney Tiemann finished with four goals and two assists. Goalie
Jo Miles came into the game in the second quarter and held the Hawks to just three goals and came up with five saves to pick up the win in the cage.
Quincy recap
The Hawks led 3-2 before the Saints scored twice to take a 4-3 advantage after the first quarter. Elliott fired in her second goal, and Tiemann tallied 29 seconds later. Tiemann started the second with a free-position score. Hynes recorded back-to-back goals as the Saints surged to a 7-3 lead. The Hawks came back and cut into the deficit at 7-6. Elliott completed her hat trick, and
Helen Bae's free-position score made it 9-6. Quincy scored two times but Tiemann's goal boosted the Saints to a 10-8 lead at halftime.

The Saints opened the third quarter with scores by Elliott and Bae to grab a 12-8 cushion. The Hawks pulled one back but Hynes scored with three seconds remaining in the quarter for a 13-9 lead. Maryville took control in the fourth with a Tiemann score and a player-down goal by Elliott for a 15-9 margin.
Tia Sansone's score put the game away with just under eight minutes to play.
