Maryville women's lacrosse earned its second consecutive NCAA Tournament bid and has been selected to serve as a host for the 2024 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. Two first-round and one second-round NCAA Tournament games will be played at the Maryville Athletic Complex. The entire 16-team NCAA Tournament field was announced on NCAA.com this evening.

As the top-ranked team in the region, the Saints will host No. 4 seed Indianapolis Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m. CT. No. 2 seed Grand Valley State will play No. 3 seed Regis (Colo.) at 3 p.m. CT in the other first-round game. The winners of the two games will play for the Midwest Regional title at Noon CT Saturday, May 18.
The Saints are 17-1 this season and won the 2024 Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season title with an unbeaten 7-0 mark. Maryville has already defeated each team in the region once this year. Last season, the Saints earned their first NCAA Tournament bid in program history and are making back-to-back NCAA appearances.

Indianapolis carries a 14-5 record and defeated the Saints to take the 2024 GLVC Tournament title April 28. Maryville downed UIndy 13-11 April 21 to win the GLVC regular-season title. Grand Valley is 17-1 this season and won the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title. Maryville defeated the Lakers 7-6 back on March 6 in St. Louis. Regis enters the NCAA Tournament with a record of 18-1 and claimed the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference championship. The Rangers suffered their only loss of the season 18-6 to the Saints March 16 in Denver.

The other regional host schools are West Chester (Atlantic), Pace (East) and Florida Southern (South). The winner of each regional will advance to the national semifinals in Winter Park, Fla., Thursday, May 23. The NCAA Division II National Championship game is slated for Saturday, May 25.
Tickets for the Midwest Regional are $10 per person, $5 for students (with ID), and children under the age of five are free. There are no advanced ticket sales but credit cards and cash will be accepted at the entrance to the Maryville Athletic Complex. Per NCAA regulations, there are no complimentary admissions, and everyone entering the Maryville Athletic Complex must purchase a ticket.Â
