Men’s Soccer Falls 1-0 to Miners

Box Score ST. LOUIS – The Maryville men's soccer team suffered a rough and rainy defeat at the hands of the Missouri S&T Miners on Friday afternoon, falling 1-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The conditions played an effect throughout the entire contest, as torrential downpour blanketed the Maryville Soccer Field all day. The Saints fought for early offense, including three rapid shots at the 26th minute.
 
Entering the second, the Saints saw a good opportunity by Mason Crew, falling just outside of the net, the Miners rallied back, taking a pair of shots, with the second finding the back of the net after a quality set of passes by the S&T midfield.
 
With a lead, the defense of the Miners shown as they were able to complete the shutout.
