St. Louis –
Emma Hoing tied her career high with 17 kills but Rockhurst rallied to down Maryville volleyball in five sets. The Hawks prevailed 25-27, 28-26, 17-25, 25-12, 15-11 to escape the upset bid by the Saints.
Ella Brinkmann notched a double-double with 16 kills and 16 digs, while
Olivia Klump finished with a match-high 30 digs.

How it Happened
In the fifth set, Rockhurst took a small lead, and Hoing drilled down a kill to pull the Saints to 6-5. However, the Hawks reeled off six straight points to take charge. After two Rockhurst errors,
Taylor Reynolds served an ace to draw the Saints to 12-8. The teams traded kills before Hoing recorded another kill and the Hawks had an attack error to chop the deficit to 13-10. Rockhurst closed the match with two kills and escape with the win.

Lynsey Batson chipped in 10 kills and three block assists, while
Leslie Longanbach tallied five kills and a team-high seven block assists to anchor the defense at the net. Maryville's setters kept the offense moving as
Taylor Reynolds and
Cami Kohmetscher each dished out 26 assists. Kohmetscher also finished with 13 digs.
Mallory Sell was second on the team with 14 digs
