Three Saints Hockey Teams Set to Dance at ACHA Nationals

ST. LOUIS – For the first time in program history, three Maryville Hockey teams have qualified for the ACHA National Tournament, with the M1, W1 and M2 teams all earning their spot. 2025 marks the fifth year in a row that the men's 1 team has earned a birth to the big dance. For the women's 1 team, this is their fourth consecutive season qualifying. The program's newest team to punch their ticket is the men's 2 team, earning their first ever trip to the National tournament.

The Men's 1 team finished the season with an overall record of 19-9-2. Their final national ranking has them at No. 10 in the country, earning them the 10-seed in the national tournament. The M1 Saints will take on the No. 23-seeded Northwood Timberwolves on Thursday, March 12, at 4:45 p.m. 24 teams will make up the field in Men's 1 with a one and done format.

The W1 Saints enter national play with an overall record of 23-13. The Women's 1 team earned the No. 2-seed as the No. 2 team in the country in the final rankings. In a modified 12 team pool play format, Women's 1 will be guaranteed two games. They will take on Miami University on Monday, March 17, at 4:00 p.m. and Michigan-Dearborn on Tuesday, March 18, at 4:30 p.m.

Rounding out the Maryville trifecta is the Men's 2 team. With over 200 teams in the Men's 2 ACHA division, the M2 Saints are one of 16 teams left standing. The Saints, with a 23-7 record, beat Sault College and Minnesota-Crookston at the central regionals to capture the No. 4 Central seed for the M2 national tournament. This will be the first time Maryville has secured a spot at the M2 national tournament. 16 teams make up the M2 tournament with four pools. The pool play format guarantees the Saints three games. The Men's 2 games kick off March 14, when they will take on Florida Golf Coast at 5 p.m. Over March 15-16, the Saints will play against Connecticut College and Metro-Denver respectively.

The 2025 ACHA National Tournament will be hosted at the Centene Community Ice Center in St. Louis, MO with some overflow games at the Maryville University Hockey Center from March 13-25.
