OWASSO, OKLA. - In its first tournament of the 2025 spring season, the Maryville men's golf team tied for second place at The Hillcat Classic at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso, Okla.
Max Hsu finished in second place overall with a four-under total at 209 (67-72-70) and was one stroke away from the medalist score. The Saints were just seven shots back of team champion and host Rogers State. Maryville posted scores of 280-288-286=854.

Hsu carded 17 birdies over his three rounds, including seven in his opening 67.
Hsiang-Chih Hsu was second on the team and 12th overall after rounds of 71-69-76=216.
Andrew Rojas placed 18th in the field (73-74-72=219), while
Javier Gil Blanco dropped his score in each round (75-73-72) and
Quinn Thomas (69-75-75) were one shot back at 220 and tied for 22nd.

The host Hillcats took the team competition out of eight teams with scores of 277-281=558. RSU's Elliot-Han Monteremal was individual medalist at 208 to edge out
Max Hsu by one shot.
