ST. LOUIS – Eleven different players scored at least one goal as the Maryville women's lacrosse squad flew past Quincy 24-7 in a nonconference game Tuesday afternoon.
Marissa Zeno found the back of the net five times and added an assist, while
Natalie Tomljenovic and
Chloe Elliott both finished with four goals and two assists apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams traded goals to open the game at 2-2 before the Saints broke away with five straight scores.
Devyn Dimovitz tallied a player-up goal to put Maryville on top, and Elliott did the same 21 seconds later. Zeno notched her first of the day, and
Helen Bae slotted home a shot.
Emmery Clark's goal made it 7-2. Quincy took advantage of a Maryville penalty, but Clark answered for the Saints. Elliott deposited a late goal for a 9-3 lead.

Tomljenovic and Dimovitz pushed the margin to 11-3. The Hawks scored but the Saints responded with four straight to pull away.
Gaby Quinones started the run with Zeno sandwiching a pair around a goal by Tomljenovic and a 15-4 lead.

Up 15-5 starting the third, the Saints put the game away with another 4-0 burst. Zeno and
Izzy Watts tallied before Tomljenovic and Elliott put the game out of reach at 19-6.
