QUINCY, ILL. – For the second straight game,
Helen Bae reached a season high in points as the No. 5 Maryville women's lacrosse team overran Quincy 21-6. Bae rocketed in seven goals and three assists for 10 points to go along with eight draw controls.
Natalie Tomljenovic and
Marissa Zeno both finished with three goals and one assist apiece. The Saints scored 13 goals in the first quarter to cruise to the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Devyn Dimovitz boosted the start of the game with a goal 30 seconds into the game. Bae scored her first of the day to double the lead. Tomljenovic tallied the first of her four goals in the quarter, while Bae also completed her hat trick in five minutes en route to five goals in the opener. The Saints kept piling up the points in the first and eventually took a 13-0 lead into the second.

Quincy got onto the scoreboard to open the second before
Tia Sansone scored. The Hawks scored again before
Izzy Watts found the back of the net for a 15-2 lead at halftime. Watts scored to open the third as the Saints eased to their 14th straight victory.
Gianna Guzek made five saves in the first half, while
Christina Bae had three stops in the second.
