BOLIVAR, MO. –
Max Hsu is tied for second place overall, just one shot behind the leader, after the opening round of the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Golf Championships at Silo Ridge Golf Club. He opened with a round of 69 that featured five birdies and trails leader Cameron Young of UIndy, who carded a 68. As a team, the Saints posted a first-round score of 308 and are in 10th place with 36 holes of stroke play still to be played.

Quinn Thomas is second for Maryville and tied for 26th after a round of 76. He recorded four birdies in the round, including an even-par 36 on his outward nine holes.
Andrew Rojas and
Javier Gil Blanco both shot 81, while
Hsiang-Chih Hsu was one more stroke back at 82.

Drury leads the 13-team competition at 287, with William Jewell and Indianapolis right behind. Lewis and Rockhurst are tied for the fourth spot, the last position for the final day medal match play competition, at 298.
