ST. LOUIS – The No. 5 Maryville women's lacrosse team closed out an unbeaten Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season campaign with a 22-6 victory over William Jewell.
Chloe Elliott finished with five goals and two assists, while
Devyn Dimovitz also deposited five goals and one assist.
Anna Schamens notched a hat trick, and
Helen Bae snared 11 draw controls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints stormed out to the lead by scoring the first seven goals of the game. Elliott gave the Saints the lead before Dimovitz sandwiched a pair of scores around one by
Marissa Zeno. Elliott and Zeno tacked on goals before Bae made it 7-0. The Cardinals scored two before Elliot converted back-to-back chances as the Saints led 9-2 after the first quarter.

William Jewell scored two of the first three goals to start the second before the Saints reeled off four straight.
Natalie Tomljenovic and Dimovitz alternated scored as Maryville went up 14-4 at halftime.
Libbey Pacanowski and
Reagan Rukstad scored in the third as the Saints led 16-6.

The Saints ended the game by scoring six times in the fourth and shutting out the Cardinals in the final stanza.
