Scottie Moler comes to Maryville University as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in the fall of 2025. He is responsible for ensuring Maryville's adherence to NCAA Division II, Great Lakes Valley Conference and University policies and regulations.
Moler arrived at Maryville after working at fellow GLVC member University of Illinois Springfield. He monitored student-athlete eligibility and progress towards degree. Prior to UIS, he spent one year at the University of Iowa, where he worked in NCAA compliance, supporting student-athletes and staff in navigating eligibility and regulatory requirements for the cross country, soccer, tennis and track and field teams. Moler has served previous stints in compliance at Missouri Western State and Angelo State. He also worked as an academic coordinator for Texas A&M Commerce and Montana State.
Moler earned a bachelor's degree in recreation, sport, and park administration from Missouri State University and a master's degree in education with a specialization in coaching, sport, recreation, and fitness administration from Angelo State University. He also worked as an intern at the University of Minnesota. His expertise includes NCAA compliance, academic progress tracking, and student-athlete development.
