MADISON, ILL. - Bolstered by
Quinn Thomas' sixth-place finish, the Maryville men's golf team took fifth place at the 2025 Arch Cup held at Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill. Thomas posted a score of 141 (71-70) to pace the Saints as Maryville finished with team scores of 293-294=587.

Starting on hole No. 7, Thomas recorded a birdie to open the day. After dropping a few shots, the sophomore rebounded with back-to-back birdies on 17 and 18. Thomas picked up another birdie on three as he closed the first round with an even-par 71. He posted five birdies in the final round to record a round of 70, good for one under par.

Hsiang-Chih Hsu was second for the team and finished 16th overall at 74-73=147. He had a steady first 18 holes with 13 pars and one birdie, and he followed up in round two with 14 more pars and a birdie.
Javier Gil Blanco carded rounds of 71-79=150, while
Antoine Morisset opened with a 77 and followed with a 75 for a 152.
Andrew Rojas posted a 156 (80-76) to close out the team scores.

Playing as an individual,
Daniel Boyle trimmed four strokes off his opening round to finish 78-74=152.
Zach Mesplay shot scores of 81-83=164 to close out Maryville's efforts.

Host Missouri-St. Louis took the team title with scores of 280-282=562, and UMSL's Daniel Solavera grabbed medalist honors with a two-round total of 136.
