St. Louis – The Maryville field hockey team recorded the second-highest goal output in program history with a dominating 9-0 victory over Concordia University of Wisconsin.
Denise Van der Spuy notched her first career hat trick and had an assist, while
Andra Alexander tied a school record with three assists. The Saints earned 15 penalty corners and put 36 shots on goal during the offensive onslaught. Maryville matched its program record for consecutive wins with four.

How it Happened:
The Saints dominated the opening quarter with 11 shots but Concordia's goalie turned aside seven attempts. Maryville broke through on
Skyler Turiello's goal four minutes into the second. Three minutes later, Van der Spuy notched the first of her three goals.
Dorothy Fife slotted home her first career goal as the Saints built a 3-0 lead at halftime.

Maryville put the game away in the third quarter with four goals. Van der Spuy started the spree, and
Jessie Earley fired in her first career goal.
Consuelo Torres Moore scored off a
Tia Sansone assist, and Sansone piled on with a goal just over a minute later.
Jojo Cox and
Liz Hind kept the Falcons off the scoreboard for Maryville's first shutout of the season. The defense limited Concordia to just two shots on the day.
