Andrew Rojas grabbed a tie for eighth place to top the Maryville men's golfers at the UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor Country Club. Rojas shot 70-71-68=209 for a seven-under-par total in the field of 82 players.
 
In a steady rain in the first round, Rojas shot 2-under par 70 that featured five birdies. Starting round two on Monday, he completed his second 18 holes at 71 Tuesday morning, then posted a sparkling 68 that saw him record six birdies.
 
Javier Gil Blanco posted rounds of 72-75-73=220, while 
Hsiang-Chih Hsu finished with scores of 79-79-77=235.
 
Grand Valley State won the team competition at 813, and GVSU's Bryce Wheeler was medalist at 201, good for 15 shots under par.
