ST. LOUIS – The Maryville men's soccer team fell 1-0 to the visiting Rogers State Hillcats on a brisk Saturday morning. The Saints rattled off 12 shots in the contest,

HOW IT HAPPENED
Just 16 minutes into the contest the visiting Hillcats grabbed the lead, as Alex Fletcher nailed a perfect corner kick which floated into the far corner of the goal.
From there it was back-and-forth play, with the Saints having one of their best chances at the 43rd minute, when a shot by Luca Alessandro Ferrero was saved by the Hillcats' goalkeeper.
The second half had tempers flair as the Hillcats got tabbed with five yellow cards, with one resulting in a red at the 62nd minute. Despite playing with a man up for the final 28 minutes, the Saints were unable to find the equalizer.
