Maryville sophomore libero Mallory Sell has been been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Defensive Player of the Week in women's volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday. She is the first Saint to earn the award since Leslie Longanbach in September 2025.
 
Sell led the defensive efforts as the Saints posted league victories over Southwest Baptist and Drury. She came up with 47 digs and averaged 6.7 digs over seven sets of action. To begin the week, Sell posted 13 digs and added five assists in a sweep of the Bearcats. She recorded a career-high 34 digs and a career-best nine assists in the victory over the Panthers. Sell's 34 digs are the most in a four-set match in the GLVC this season. She helped the Saints set a season-best 117 digs, the third most in a match this season by a conference team.
 
Sell and the Saints close out the regular season with a road matches at Quincy Friday, Nov. 6, and at Illinois Springfield Saturday, Nov. 7.
