BOLIVAR, MO. –
Lindsey Schadewalt sank six 3-pointers en route to 26 points to propel the Maryville women's basketball team to an 85-66 victory at Southwest Baptist. The victory is the 22nd on the year to set a new Division II era record for wins in a season, surpassing the 21 by the 2013-14 team. In addition, the Saints set a new milestone for Great Lakes Valley Conference wins with 16.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints burst out of the gate by hitting all four of their 3-pointers to grab early control.
Claire Lueken drained a trey to open the game, and
Annika Pluemer followed with another from beyond the arc. SBU scored a basket but Schadewalt sank back-to-back 3-pointers to stake the Saints to a 12-2 lead. Maryville stayed in front, and another 3-pointer from Lueken, the sixth of the frame by the Saints, made it 23-15 after the first quarter.

Schadewalt connected from deep again, and
Helen Ben sank two free throws as the lead grew to double digits at 28-17. The Saints embarked on a 10-2 surge late in the second quarter. Ben had a basket and tacked on two free throws.
Adylan Ayer took over with three straight buckets for a 38-25 advantage.
Olivia Hahn connected on a triple as the Saints went into halftime up 44-27.
