QUINCY, Ill. – It's the second Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) dual win in a row for the Maryville wrestling team, dominating the Quincy Hawks on the road in Pepsi Arena to the tune of a 32-11 win.
Seven out of 10 matches went the Saints way, with
Cole Ritter,
Jeremiah Larson and
Jonovan Smith all scoring bonus points.

INS & OUTS
The Hawks spotted the Saints six points to start the dual with a forfeit at 125. JP followed that up with a 3-0 clinic at 133, scoring a reversal in the second period and earning the riding time point for his win.
Â
After a QU major at 149,
Nick Zamora snagged an 11-6 decision, coming back from being down 6-1 to snatch the win.
Back-and-forth the dual went with QU winning at 157 and 184, but a tech fall by No. 14-ranked Ritter at 174 and a much-needed pin by No. 15 Larson at 197 eased any worries of a Hawk comeback.
Â
The Olympian Smith was putting on a showcase at 285, holding onto a 10-2 lead deep into the third period before the Hawks' heavyweight was forced to forfeit due to injury, leaving Smith with the major to close the match.
