BENTONVILLE, Ark. – The Maryville softball team wrapped up its weekend in Bentonville, Ark., with a win against Southeastern Oklahoma State on Sunday but dropped three close contests to finish 1-3 at the Alvy Early Classic.
Â
Jenna Kosnoff led the Saints offensively, going 7-for-14 over four games while posting a 1.533 OPS with two home runs, a double and three RBIs.
Marley Williamson also produced at the plate, batting .364 across the four-game slate.

SATURDAY
GAME 1 | East Central 6, Maryville 5
After a Tiger run in the first inning, the Saints answered with three in the bottom half of the frame, all coming on
Emily Erb's first home run of the season.
Â
Runs did not come again until the fifth, when East Central plated four on a pair of two-run homers to take a 5-3 lead. The long balls continued, as Kosnoff answered with her own two-run blast to pull the Saints within one.
Â
Maryville's comeback fell short, however, as the Tigers added an insurance run in the sixth to secure the 6-5 final.
Â
GAME 2 | Central Missouri 7, Maryville 3
In Saturday's second game, Central Missouri jumped out early, scoring seven runs over the first three innings.
Â
Laila Ruiz doubled home a pair in the third to put the Saints on the board. Marissa Riggle attempted to spark a late rally in the seventh with her first career home run, but the deficit proved too much to overcome.

SUNDAY
GAME 3 | Maryville 7, Southeastern Oklahoma 6
Maryville opened Sunday with a win, scoring five runs across the first three innings.
Â
Ruiz drove in a pair in the first, while starting pitcher
Cora Boyle helped her own cause with an RBI single to cap the inning.
Â
Williamson manufactured offense in the second. After drawing a walk, she advanced all the way to third and stole home with two outs to give the Saints a 4-0 advantage.
Â
Southeastern Oklahoma erased the lead in one inning, scoring five runs, including a three-run homer, to go ahead 5-4.
Miranda Bondurant answered with a solo shot in the bottom half to knot the game at 5-5.
Â
The Storm briefly retook the lead with another home run, but Williamson and Peyton Deakin delivered back-to-back RBIs in the fifth to give Maryville the final lead of the contest. Aubrey Sciezinski earned her first career win in the circle.
Â
GAME 4 | Texas Woman's 3, Maryville 2
The finale came down to the final inning, but action started immediately as Kosnoff led off the game with a home run, marking the second time this season she has opened a game with a long ball.
Â
Texas Woman's tied the game with a homer in the fourth, but Ruiz—off to a historic start to the season—responded with a home run in the bottom half to put Maryville back in front, 2-1.
Â
The Pioneers' center fielder prevented a second home run from Kosnoff in the seventh, robbing her of a potential two-run blast and doubling off the Saints to end the inning. Texas Woman's then walked it off in the bottom half to claim the 3-2 win.
