ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – The No. 10 Maryville men's lacrosse squad rallied with a huge fourth quarter to take down No. 7 Lewis 14-10 in a crucial contest at the top of the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings. The Saints scored seven times in the final stanza to key the comeback victory.
Wyatt Robertson launched five goals, while Chicago native
Colin Tobias recorded three goals and one assist.
Evan Alfano made a career-high 14 saves to keep the Flyer offense in check as the Saints won for the first time at Lewis Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben Mickett scored just 29 seconds into the game to get the Saints on the right track. Lewis tied the game but Robertson fired in his first of the day. The Flyers knotted the game up at 2-2 before Mickett found the back of the net again. Lewis grabbed a 5-3 edge until
John Chorlton tallied a pole goal. Lewis scored late in the second for a 6-4 edge at the break.

In the third, the teams traded goals again with Tobias tallying his first and Robertson scoring on a man-up advantage.
Griffin Johnson tallied a late goal in the quarter as the Saints pulled to within 8-7 heading into the final 15 minutes.

Robertson deadlocked the game at 8-8 just 19 ticks into the final frame on another man-up situation. Lewis scored to make it 9-8 before the Saints blitzed the Flyers with five straight goals. Robertson tied the game again at 9-9 with exactly 11 minutes to play. Just 59 seconds later, Tobias fired in a goal to give the Saints a lead they would not surrender.
Flint Thielen cashed in a score, which would eventually prove to be the game winner. Tobias completed his hat trick, and
Jack Tocko pushed the Maryville margin to 13-9 with 4:12 remaining. Lewis pulled one score back as the Saints defense blanked the hosts for more than 15 minutes. However, Robertson sealed the win with a goal at the 1:03 mark.
