No. 9 Saints Erupt for Season High in Goals and Soar Past Lewis 25-4

ST. LOUIS  – The No. 9 Maryville women's lacrosse team erupted for a season high in goals during a 25-4 romp over Lewis Sunday. Helen Bae fired in five goals with three assists, while Paige Murphy recorded five goals, two assists and snared 14 draw controls. Maryville saw 12 players record at least one goal, and 16 Saints picked up a point. The 25 goals are the most scored by the Saints since pouring in 26 versus Findlay March 2, 2025.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints took control early by scoring seven times in the first quarter. Kylie Pettus opening the barrage 93 seconds into the contest, and Devyn Dimovitz doubled the Maryville margin. Natalie Tomljenovic tallied before Murphy found the back of the net for the first time. Mady Richert scored, and Bae deposited her first of the day. Dimovitz ripped the net again for a 7-0 after 15 minutes of play.
 
Gaby Quinones and Murphy rocketed in goals just 29 seconds apart as the cushion built up to 9-0. Lewis scored on its first shot of the game but the Saints responded with three straight. Murphy, Pettus and Tomljenovic all registered goals for a 12-1 advantage. Murphy scored in the final minute of the second as the Saints took a 13-3 lead into the break.
 
Maryville put the game away in the third quarter by scoring seven times and holding the Flyers without a shot in the frame. In the final quarter, Autumn Kuhl scored her first two career goals, while Bailey Boulay also opened her career scoring account. Elle Kondraros and Lilly Johnson tacked on goals for the Saints, too.
