ST. LOUIS – Fueled by a career-high four goals from
Brenden Bloedel, the No. 13 Maryville men's lacrosse team closed the regular season with a dominant 17-8 victory over Indianapolis on Senior Day. The win gave the Saints a share of the GLVC regular season championship with a 4-1 mark.
Evan Alfano made several sprawling saves and finished with a season-high 16 in the triumph.
Wyatt Robertson directed the offense with a pair of goals and tallied a season-best four assists for six points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints broke out on top with the first three goals of the contest. Bloedel scored on the game's opening possession before
Flint Thielen tallied for a 2-0 edge.
Eli Wingbermuehle converted on a man-up opportunity for a 3-0 cushion. The Greyhounds pulled two back before
Reid Usrey rocketed in a shot for a 4-2 lead after the first. UIndy opened the second with a score but
Ben Mickett found the range. The visitors again scored but again the Saints answered, with a goal by
Jack Tocko. The Greyhounds tallied just before halftime to cut the Maryville margin to 6-5.

The Saints took over in the third quarter. Bloedel fired in back-to-back goals before UIndy scored to trim the Maryville lead to 8-6. The Saints scored four-in-a-row to assume command. Tocko and
Caiden Moon found the back of the net, before
Wyatt Robertson and
Griffin Johnson both tallied EMO chances as the Saints lead pushed to 12-6.

UIndy scored to start the fourth but
Luke Chorlton answered just 13 seconds later to start another 4-0 spree.
Chris Anderson tallied before Bloedel ripped the net with his fourth of the day.
John Chorlton fired in a pole goal, and Robertson sealed the win with his second on the day.
