KANSAS CITY, MO. – Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro earned medalist honors for the Maryville women's golf team at the Kansas City Cup held at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. The senior fired three straight rounds of even-par 72 to top the field of 46 golfers by eight shots. Diaz-Pizarro was the last Maryville golfer to win tournament medalist honors when she finished first at Kentucky Wesleyan's Bill Crabtree Invitational October 2025.
 
Diaz-Pizarro posted scores of 72-72-72=216 which featured nine birdies over the tournament. She had four birdies in her opening round to shoot even par. In the second round, Diaz-Pizarro added two birdies along with 14 holes en route to carding her second straight score at par. In her final round, she was steady with nine straight pars before finally dropping a shot. Diaz-Pizarro rebounded to pick up a birdie on the next hole. She had another bounce back birdie before carding a birdie on her final hole of the day to seal the victory with another round at par.
                                                                                                                                                                                          
Natalie Zak came home with scores at 78-80-80=238. She picked up a birdie on her second-to-last hole in round one, and added two birdies in round two. Avery Cassell put up scores of 81-90-83=254. She had 10 pars in her opening round and carded a birdie late in round two. Cassell had a birdie on her fourth hole in the final round.
 
The Saints did not have enough qualifying scores to post a team score, and Rockhurst took the team title.
