BUFFALO, N.Y. –
Consuelo Torres Moore tallied her third goal of the season but Maryville field hockey dropped a 3-1 decision at D'Youville.
Andra Alexander picked up the assist for the Saints. Maryville outshot the hosts 23-9, including 14-8 on attempts on goal, and enjoyed a 15-3 advantage on penalty corners but was unable to grab the road victory.

How it Happened:
D'Youville took the early lead on a goal just 1:42 into the game. Maryville pushed forward and had five shots in the first quarter but was unable to dent the scoreboard. After four more shots, Maryville was still looking to break through but still trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Maryville opened the second half with a surge. Alexander broke in from the right wing and fed Torres Moore who hammered in a shot to the left side to tie the game at the 31:31 mark. The visitors pressed for the go-ahead score and had another attempt saved, but D'Youville raced down and retook the lead in the 36th minute. Maryville had four more shots on frame but saw them turned aside. D'Youville tacked on a late goal to seal the win.
Liz Hind, making her first start of the season, came up with five saves.
