2016-17: Played in 18 games after sitting out due to NCAA transfer regulations … had two double-doubles on the season … dished out 15 assists and added 13 points against Saint Joseph’s … recorded 18 points, six rebounds and six assists against Truman State … scored a career-high 27 points against Quincy … sank 7-of-9 shots at McKendree to finish with 17 points … had 15 points and 10 assists against Missouri S&T … Academic All-GLVC selection.
Prior to Maryville: Barton comes to Maryville after playing one season at the University of Missouri. He played in 13 games for the Tigers. Barton began his collegiate career at Houston Baptist where he appeared in 31 games and started 13 times. He averaged 3.0 points and 1.8 assists per game for HBU. In high school, Barton scored more than 1,000 points in his career at DeSmet and is the school’s all-time assists leader.
