2016-17: Was second on the team in scoring at 12.5 ppg …paced the squad with 90 assists … shot .804 from the free-throw line … poured in career-high 29 points in the Saint Joseph’s game while hitting 9-of-11 shots from the field … sank Puerto Rico-Mayaguez with 25 points … finished the Fontbonne game with 24 points …converted all six free throw attempts versus Southern Indiana … handed out nine assists against Robert Morris-Springfield … Academic All-GLVC honoree.
 
2015-16: Earned four starts, played in 27 games and averaged 6.1 ppg … added 52 rebounds, 39 assists and 16 steals … reached double figures in scoring on eight occasions … tallied a career-high 16 points versus Trevecca Nazarene … scored 15 points at UMSL … GLVC All-Academic selection.
 
2014-15: Saw action in 17 games … scored 24 points with 10 rebounds on the year … made half of eight 3-point attempts … hit two 3-pointers and finished with eight points versus William Woods … sank three free throws against Truman State and grabbed a season-high four rebounds … Academic All-GLVC selection.
 
High School: Sims had a decorated career at Bloomington (Ind.) North High School. Sims, who helped guide his team to the Indiana Class 4A Final Four, averaged 17.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game during his senior season.  For his efforts, Sims was on the receiving end of numerous awards, including being named a top 20 player in the state by the Indiana Basketball Source, Herald-Times Area Player of the Year, HBCA District 1 First Team, Conference Indiana First Team, Honorable Mention All-State and Academic All-State.  Sims was also selected to participate in the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 Senior Workout, an invitation-only event that features Indiana’s best players.  Sims initially signed to play at Division I Illinois-Chicago.
