Biography

2017: Saw action in nine games his junior year while starting in a pair of games... Had three hits in 14 at bats for a .214 average.

2016:  Walked four times in 13 plate appearances and made one start behind the plate 

2015:  Redshirted

High School: Played at Mascoutah High School for Don Eddy.  Austin hit .297 with seven doubles and 19 RBI while helping lead Mascoutah to the Illinois Super Sectional.

“Austin is a senior catcher that is going to be crucial to the team’s success this season. Even if he is not playing everyday he pushes everyone around him to be better. He takes control of the pitching staff and helps out coach Griffin daily.
