Maryville University Athletics

2017: Pitched in seven contests... finished the year with a 1-3 record and a 4.96 ERA in 16.1 innings pitched... Started in three games... tossed 11 strikeouts.

2016:  Redshirted

Prior to Maryville: King comes to Maryville following two years a Blackhawk Community College in Moline, IL where he played for Arnie Chavera. The right handed pitcher helped lead Blackhawk to a 37-22 record.

Brian earned second-team NJCAA Region IV and All-Conference following a season that saw him go 5-1 with a 2.40 ERA in 45 innings with 51 strikeouts.  He finished the year with three complete games.

Brian is the son of Bob and Karen and he has one brother Bill.

“Brian will be one of the arm battling for one of the rotation spots. The best part about Brian, is that he just wants to pitch and get people out. He will be a key factor in our team’s success this spring either starting or coming out the pen.
