Kevin Frady enters his first season at Maryville University as the teams hitting, catching and bench coach.
Prior to joining the Saints, Frady spent the 2014 season as the assistant coach in the Kansas Jayhawk League with Independence CC. The Pirates saw a 9 game win improvement of from the 2013 season prior to his arrival.
He spent the prior summer coaching the Kitsap BlueJackets of the West Coast Collegiate League. The BlueJackets improved a total of 13 games from their previous season. He also oversaw a 100 point improvement in Ryan Matranga’s (U. San Francisco) batting average, earning him an all-conference selection behind the plate.
Frady took the opportunity to be the head coach at Wenatchee Valley Community College in Washington during the 2011 season, stepping away to rehabilitate his knee following surgery, and to complete his undergrad studies.
Kevin spent the 2006-2010 seasons as an assistant at the University of Kansas under head coach Ritch Price. While at Kansas the Jayhawks went to the Corvallis regional in 2006, and Chapel Hill regional in 2009.
An area scout for the New York Mets from 1999-2001. Frady was in charge of the baseball rich Southwestern part of the United States.
A native of Edmonds, Washington, he earned his bachelor degree in Leadership Studies from Bellevue University.
